Secrets of Podcasting - Veteran Podcaster Experiences 1 Let’s talk now about some veteran podcasting experiences when it comes to some of the things that some folks at some podcast everyday every week are used too. One of the benefits about podcasting is it allows you the freedom to go outside the general boundaries of traditional radio and television and do things your own way. It gives you the freedom to be great. It gives you the freedom to do things that you want to do that you don’t do on your traditional media. It can allow you to show your skills and experience to folks outside of your local area within areas that you’re not able to access on a normal basis. It also gives you the freedom to extend your brand. Podcasting is a wonderful medium for you to be able to very inexpensively put your brand out there and demonstrate your skills to folks that normally wouldn’t be able to have access or the information about you, your products, your services or your loves and your hobbies. One other really important thing about podcasting is it allows you a little bit of control over your online persona and this day and age of the internet, there’s a lot of information about those out there in our professional lives as well as on our personal lives and by you taking control of some of the medium and putting out your own voice and putting out your own image in some cases if you’re doing video podcasting, you are actually taking control of a part of your persona so that you can either define what you are and who you are and what your company is about or what your loves are. It also allows you to, if you need to come back in and then speak about some things that maybe people have spoken about concerning some of the things that you’ve done on the online world or some of the things your business has done. One of the issues with podcasting those are also gives you the freedom to be frankly not so great. You have to be careful to make sure that the audience that you’re focusing on is going to be receptive through the production quality that you put together. They’re going to be receptive to the content that is being created by you and you have to make sure that the folks that are listening or arguing you on the web are going to find what you’re doing compelling and interesting. When you put all these together, this is very liberating. It gives you an awful lot of power. It is also going to be pretty scary so the advice from the most of the process. Don’t be afraid. Go ahead and get out there. You’re going to make some mistakes but get out there and learn from those mistakes in keeping and proving upon your message, improve upon the production skills and listen to the folks that are listening to you and watching you on the web.
