Job Seekers Finding Mixed Signals
The drumbeat to Friday's all important U.S. employment report is getting louder. Anticipation continues to rise as Wall Street expects the jobs report to confirm the economy was on stronger footing last month, adding more than 200,000 jobs for the third month in a row. But ahead of that data new figures released on Thursday show a surprise uptick in new applications for jobless benefits last week. Nevertheless unemployment claims are hovering near a four-year low.
