SOURCE: AP Sots mostly covered with b-roll of event.][SOT/:John Lundberg/Hiring Our Heroes]What we got going on today is a military veteran opportunity expo, or a career fair, for military veterans and their spouses. Makes no difference when they served or in what capacity. Whether they just got out or getting ready to get out or they served 20-30 years ago, this is for all veterans that served. Guard, reserve, active duty and their spouses. And the reason that we have it for their spouses as well is because the spouse had to sacrifice just as much as the veteran did when the veteran served. You know we've got a really great representation across the board. Government opportunities, such as the TSA, Department of homeland security, us department of state, department of energy, plus other organizations such as microsoft, accenture, amtrak, all state, kaiser permanente, capitol one, so a really great representation of different opportunities across the board.[SOT/:MARIA ISAJA/AMVETS]It's tough. I see that a lot of these veterans hopefully will get some help by the universities and everything else because some of them don't have a lot of background, education, and that's what I've seen. But that's why we're here today. We're going to find them something and we're going to help them.(****END****) VIDEO PRODUCER: matt friedman---------------------------VIDEO SOURCE: AP
