Can I use my cover letter to tailor my experience to the job opening? A cover letter is a great opportunity to connect with the company. If you can, as I said earlier say I know your great company this is why I want to there. Company’s love to hear good things about themselves and they want to hire people who know about them and it who care about they care about. So you can connect with the company but don’t include anything in the cover letter that is essential to the job if it’s not in the resume because some people are not going to read your cover letter or they make it separated they may not get put together again. You don’t want to have that critical information in the cover letter but not in the resume.
